[MR] Dun Carraig vs the Tornado: PHOTOS!

This morning, I arrived at work to find SEVERAL emails from my co-workers
containing their photos of the Tornado as it blew through Dun Carraig
yesterday evening. Some of the shots are quite impressive! I've uploaded
three of the best to a publically-accessible folder on the Dun Carraig
YahooGroups website:

http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/group/DunCarraig/lst
Click on the folder named "Tornado" to see them.

The first two (CCWS1 and CCWS2) were taken at the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear
Plant, and show the funnel cloud (technically a waterspout at this point)
heading out across the Chesapeake Bay.

The third (CCWS3) was also taken from Calvert Co, but on the Patuxent River
side, and shows the funnel approaching Calvert. I'm not quite sure where
along the river the photographer was standing, but it was probably between
Lusby and Prince Frederick, since that's where the funnel made landfall.
This shot was taken EARLIER than the other two.

The Washington Post article about the tornado is at
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A1084-2002Apr29.html

The twister touched down in La Plata (in Charles County), and went pretty
much due west, crossing the Patuxent River into Calvert County, passing
south of Prince Frederick, and then heading out into the Chesapeake. We
haven't heard from our pals in Spiaggia Levantina, so we're guessing that
the twister/waterspout dissipated before it got there.

Dun Carraig is comprised of both Charles and Calvert County, as well as St.
Mary's County (the one to the south of both of them) in Southern Maryland.
As far as we can tell, nobody except Dun Carraig got hit, and as far as we
know, everybody in the Barony appears to be fine.

PS - For those who are wondering... the Dun Carraig mailing list is closed
and is available only to our members, but the Files and Photos areas are
open for all. There's a nice article that ran in a local paper after the
Dance Symposium that was scanned in and published, and photos from the
Symposium and Kingdom Twelfth Night that can all be viewed.
