That could be true. It is *not* registered as an heraldic title to Atlantia
in the OandA I just checked. http://www.wgz.org/heraldry/OandA
Three of the six names seem to be related directly to existing Heraldic
Titles in Atlantia. (See ** below)
Just for Jollies, here are all the heraldic titles registered to Atlantia in
that Oand A. Pursuivants are titles for group heralds (Sea Castle
Pursuivant is the title for Caer Mear, for example) and Heralds are Triton
or Laurel staff titles.
Albatross Pursuivant
Alcyon Herald (Title released 03/89)
*Argent Snail Herald
*Azure Decrescent Herald
Berger Pursuivant (Released 05/97)
*Blue Crab Herald
Boreas Pursuivant
*Bright Leaf Herald
*Conch Herald
Dolmen Pursuivant
Drakkar Pursuivant
Finsterwald Pursuivant
Golden Dolphin Herald
Gordian Pursuivant
Gordian Knot Pursuivant
Goshawk Pursuivant
Hippocampus Herald
**Ibis Herald
Kraken Pursuivant
Marlow Pursuivant Extraordinary (Via Laurel)
Morse Pursuivant (Via Laurel)
*Morwch Rudd Herald
Most Pursuivant
**Narwhal Herald
**Nereid Herald
Northern March Pursuivant
Osprey Herald (Released 03/89)
*Owen Herald
*Partan Herald
Pearl Herald
*Rastrillo Herald
Sable Trident Pursuivant (Via Laurel)
*Sackbut Herald
Sea Castle Pursuivant
Sea Stag Herald
Sea Urchin Herald
Shofar Herald (released 05/97)
Silver Osprey Pursuivant
*Triton Herald
If we wanted other Order or Award titles, we could go with any of the ones
marked with a single asterisk (*) above. The order of the Sackbut, anyone?
For excellence in music, maybe?
I also note that we don't have a Yew Bow Herald, an Undine Herald, a Silver
Needle Herald, a Silver Nautilus Herald, a Nonpariel Herald, a Keepers of
the Dream Herald (We have an order named thus, but I've not seen it in Red
Tape--is it closed, like the Silver Needle?) A Herring Herald (That is a
neat award--I wish it was given more often!) a Fountain Herald (What's the
Order of the Fountain?)
Not that Triton needs that many staff!!
--By the way, there was talk of an Atlantian seal for Triton to place on
official scrolls. We've got one registered: "(Tinctureless) Two cartouches
conjoined in fess, the dexter surmounting the sinister at the edge, on the
dexter cartouche two trumpets in saltire, bells in chief, on the sinister
cartouche a triton's trumpet shell palewise, in chief the word 'ATLANTIA'
and in base the letters 'COH.'"
