I don't know about platelets. One can donate plasma a few times a week. During less serious times you can sell plasma. Not that I would do that of course. I was "told" about it from ...someone else. They seperate out the plasma and return the red blood cells. The body replaces the fluid lost in a few days allowing for frequent donations. Helmut
