[MR] bunch of wackos

So my userfriendly.org link of the day points me toward these guys-

And I'm thinking to myself - "What a bunch of wackos, putting on costumes
and hitting each other with sticks?" I'd never do something like that. :-)

Anybody play with these folks? They seem to have a very comprehensive set of
boffer combat rules and appear to have mucho fun. I'd assume they have more
gamers per capita than the SCA, but maybe we can learn something from them?
Their roots are in Tolkein, like the SCA's, though we've moved much farther
away for our origins. I could see myself having lots of fun in some of their
combat.

thoughts anyone?
