[MR] movement to change the anthem

Back when they were trying to decide what the national anthem would be (I 
forget the year but it was around the 1900 mark) there were 2 contenders for 
the title.  We ended up with Star Spangled Banner.  But I always thought the 
other contender, which you rarely hear nowadays, to be pretty and stirring.

Can you name it?

"Columbia the gem of the ocean......."

I have way too much useless facts in my head at times. :)
