[MR] Blame the *terrorists*

Would airlines have enacted higher standards that where recommended years
ago by various investigations because they inconvenience the customer and
cost them more... Managers presumed not. The airlines are corporations,
the do what is in the best interest of the share holders. Often to the
dismay of the employees. The Airline itself is not culpable, though the
stockholders who demand profit are definitely the driving motivation behind
"cost cutting"

Then again, if not for such a structure, no corporation would exist. Most
of us would not be here now typing on manufactured computers, driving cars,
going shopping at major grocery stores with products from major companies.

Welcome to Corporate America, the lesser of evils...

Personally, I can't afford to fly, even without "safer costs"

Blame does nothing but create a focus on the anger. It will not accomplish
anything. If you truly wish to pin a blame, it should rest sorely on
philosophical extremism of all forms, for this is the heart of fanatics. Be
it hate crimes, Jyhad, holy war... when one side declares others are evil
because they are not part of their organization.

Je Dois Partir,

Iain Menzies
