yes the french may approve of our actions, whatever they may be...however, 
lip service is certainly not the same as actually taking up arms and 
supplying men and money...when push comes to shove, i fear america will 
ultimately stand alone--and that's fine, for we have always shone through the 
darkest hours...and we shall prevail again...isabella
