Unfortunately, AoL6 removed the capability to switch between HTML and text for E-mail (probably to make code space for those emoticon/smilies they added). AoL users can go to www.AoL.com and use the crippled E-mail service there (no spell checker or text wrapping features, as this message will show you), but you loose other capabilities when you do that (no ability to archive messages or access to archived messages for example).
I am afraid that the future of the internet (unless AoL changes things in version 7) is going to be HTML in E-mail to make things pretty for those who want pretty.
