Lords and Ladies of the ATC,
Greetings from Lord Bastian de la Salle, Free Scholar, Rapier Marshal
for Passage East 4, the
Cross and the Crescent. Passage East 4 will take place this weekend in
Falcon Cree ( Upper South Carolina ). The event is set in 1284 Spain during
the reign
on Alphonso X.
I wish to send the missive of a glorious rapier melee opportunity that
is right up your alley. We
have constructed a large, sturdy ship in which to have the melees from.
Those of you whom are
privateers for Atlantia should take this opportunity to practice you skills
before we come up against
the enemies of our great land.
There will be a secondary dice tourney will the following format:
It will be a round robin or double elim ( depending on attendance ) dice
tourney. Each
person will roll a die, each number representing a weapons form.
1 - Marshal's Choice ( Be afraid, be very afraid )
2 - Single Dagger
3 - Single Weapon ( Foil, Epee, Schlager ) You must have an opponent with
schlager to fight with schlager.
4 - Case
5 - Single and soft parry
6 - Single and rigid parry. ( Dagger ,buckler, scabbard, week old dinner
roll etc.. )
This should be another wonderful event. Please come and play. Also,
if you have any favorite types of shipboard or boarding / raiding
scenarios, please
forward them to me. I am open as to the type of melee for this event. I
have plenty
of experience in these and am willing to hear what you think will be the
most
fun / challenging.
In service to the Queen and Passage East 4,
Lord Bastian de la Salle
Free Scholar, Rapier and Schlager Marshal
Let all know that on October 13, AS XXXVI, their Majesties Galmr and
Aryanna did charter the Atlantian Trading Company (ATC). This Company was
chartered with the mandate to promote Rapier melee within the Kingdom.
Below is a brief review of the ATC, and some additional information about
upcoming events.
The ATC is organized into ships. A ship consists of a Captain and at least
4 other rapier fighters. The ship can also have non-combatants. The ship
is run by the Captain...he or she has the last word on the ship, and will
be assumed to be the leader of the unit on the field. The fleet roster is
now open...who will be the first ship to register?
The ATC is administered by the stakeholders. They are responsible for
ensuring that ships get the training they need, and that events that want
to have a melee are given the support they need to be successful. If you
have a question or suggestion, contact the shareholders.
