[MR] An idea for consorts in Crown

Greetings!

I've been knocking around this idea for a while, and since another Crown is 
coming up soon, I thought I'd go ahead and share.

Back in the dim depths of time, the Tanista of the Principality of An Tir 
had what I think is a great idea.

After her Lord Scelannus won the An Tirian Coronet tourney, she contacted 
all the Baronesses in the Principality, and all the Seneschals of shires.  
She asked each one to think of a young person in their group who had been in 
the SCA for a little while--long enough to have some clues.  Someone who was 
reliable and energetic.  Someone who was responsible, but still rather 
young.

She asked these young people to become her Ladies in Waiting.

This way, she not only had several people scattered all over the 
Principality that she could call upon for help (and to stay in their house 
when there was an event in their area), but she gave these young ladies a 
chance to have responsibility, to get some attention and guidance.

I think the ages ranged from 12 to 19.  Of course, she had some more 
experienced ladies in her entourage, too.

I offer this idea to all the consorts of fighters in Crown.  If you think 
it's a good idea, I hope you implement something like it in your reign, if 
you become Princess.
