I couldn't agree more!  I saw Emeril make them and have been wanting to try 
them.  

While I've glossed over many of the postings on this topic some of them have 
stood out quite deeply in my mind... I've been in the Society 5 years this 
weekend coming and though I understand the want and need to be period by some 
people.. I'm thinking people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones... If we 
all had to be completely accurate many of us would have nothing to wear... I 
know of few people who weave their own fabric and than hand sew their 
garments together... Most of the members I know would be lost without their 
sewing machines... 

I guess I've been blessed to have people within my barony to help find 
documentation for some things that we do or tell us where to look.  I 
remember I was concerned about paper cutting and it being "period" because I 
didn't want anyone to look down their noses at me for doing it at events or 
practices.  Our Baroness at the time, loaned me a book on Mongolian folk 
tales that were illustrated with paper-cuts than told me where to dig a bit 
deeper and I found out that Paper cutting is neary as old as paper itself 
that the people of the Oriental Courts used to make them for adornments for 
their hair and such... 

Though I know that Papercutting and Chocolate/Coffee are two entirely 
different entities... I'm just thinking we should all look at ourselves and 
see just how period we are before we berate someone for doing something maybe 
not so period but still a very nice gesture... I for one am looking forward 
to meeting this gentle woman who has offered so graciously to make these 
wonderful treats at Holiday Faire.  Anyway, I just thought I would interject 
my opinion on this matter.  As I looked at my garb closet I know none was 
hand sewn or handwoven so I for one can not say anything overly critical 
about being 100% in "period".
