I just wanted to add, not only saying something to them privately, but doing it in a *constructive* manner. Looking down one's nose in a maven manner instead of offering to share one's knowledge ruins the recipient's day, makes the maven look like a know-it-all (to put it mildly), and doesn't benefit anyone. I laud those who have provided documentation onlist to this end. And I hope we all remember that we do this for FUN, and it should be fun for the all, not for the few.
If I make it to Faire, look for me--I'll be the one who has forgotten to hide the Dr. Pepper can.... :)
