We've spoken of size and shape, but how about materials? My cursory research
suggests that T5 aluminum is a good choice: high tensile strength, low
weight, not real brittle. Still, I hear lots of folks talking about T6 and
even T8, both of which seem inferior. Am I missing something else here?
I do appreciate the feedback, and will be bringing blanks of several sizes
and shapes to Pennsic, along with a metal saw and a punch of some sort.
