Non-profit doesn't mean the SCA isn't allowed to make a profit.

It merely means that a *person* isn't allowed to profit.

Of course, if an SCA group *does* make a profit, then that leaves the
question of what the heck to do with it. Buy spiffy stuff for the group?
Produce the group newsletter for free? Donate to the Kingdom? Donate to
Corporate? Lower site fees and run a few events at a loss? Donate to the
Longship Company? (of course!! :-)

If (that's IF) the $25,000 came from Pennsic profits, then perhaps a look at
the site fee is warranted. But the rebate would be around $2.50 per person,
at 10,000 attendees per year. Not much of an over-charging of a site fee,
if so.

Regards!
