I have to stress that I am not a contractor nor a
estimator. However, for example in labor cost alone
(Which is not a part of this $25,000.00 figure - they
are getting the labor for free) this is a huge
bargain. Let do some math: 50 workers x $10 an hour x
8 hours a day(not unreasonable for a cross section of
skilled tradesmen and labors) is $4,000.00. After 6.25
days you would have the cost of the entire project in
and of itself. Hiring a special inspection (in this
case structural engineer)team would cost anywhere
bewteen $2,500 to $10,000.00. To do the drawings and
construction adminstration on a project like this my
firm would charge a percentage of the overall cost 0f
the actual cost of construction (say 8) or a flat of
fee of around $6,000.00, plus reimbursable expenses
(travel, postage, reproductions). We have not even
mentioned the Contractor's bond fee's, his overhead
and profit, nor the cost of the materials and
machinery involved.

This fort (which is a perfectly period form of address
for a castle) is a bargein under any circumstances.

Regardless, this is a Moot point. If you have a
serious complaint, please, by all means address it to
the Pennsic staff (Nia is gonna kill me for saying
that...) but leave it off this list. We can't properly
address it, not having the authority, nor the facts.
Dear God, someone talk about Nailbinding!!!

This horse is dead, Tonto.
