In Slippery Rock, land is cheap and you can buy house
for under $25,000. As of this morning I have a
realtor looking for buildable land (perc or no)
ajacent to Coopers. It would be nice if we could
score an acre of our own, which would grow in value
over the years, to do with as we please. In the event
Coopers is ever sold for development we wouldn't loose
out. Failing that, a contract with Coopers protecting
that investment might be nice.

First, I think it is wonderful that you are planning to purchase a parcel of land in Slippery Rock for use by the SCA, although I think it would need to be more than an acre if you intend to do something in the same scale as Pennsic. Of course, I know you are not circumventing the kingdom officers, BOD and SCA Inc. and making decisions on purchases for the kingdom or corporate, without knowing whether they are even interested.

Second, I have not seen that there is or is not such a contract with the Coopers. Rather than assume that there is no contract, perhaps the people in charge could be contacted and asked about it.
