[MR] herald question.... unrelated

Actually, what you've got is a slightly loaded question. You see, there are
actually two levels of Heralds that operate to the benefit of the Kingdom of
Atlantia.

The first level contains those who work directly for Atlantia, just over a
dozen full ranked Heralds. Of those individuals, only two have set jobs
attached to their titles: Triton Principal Herald (Big Admin Boss), and
Golden Dolphin Herald (Big Submissions Boss). The remainder of the kingdom's
Heralds have titles and jobs that they do for Triton. The titles are
attached to the person and not to the job they do, so while today's Sea
Urchin Herald is doing new herald welcome packages and Pearl Herald is
setting University heraldic tracks, tomorrow's Sea Urchin and Pearl may have
their duties swapped. The Roster of Atlantian Branch Heralds includes the
listing of who does what job for Triton, branch and direct, and can be found
at: http://herald.atlantia.sca.org/branch.htm

The second level are those Heralds who work directly for the Society. The
titles for these individuals are more directly attached to the jobs they do.
Examples include, but are not limited to: Laurel Queen of Arms (Big Society
Boss Herald), Pelican King of Arms (Assistant Society Boss Herald), and, as
you mentioned, Morsulus Herald (Keeper of the Big Book of Registered
Heraldry).

If you have any direct questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Lord Michael Batcok
Triton Principal Herald
