the Flame level, IMHO, depends on which list [ and the participants] you
frequent.
I'm flame-broiled often on one and revered on another, and just lurk on
several more.
I use the same 'tones' on all; I remain myself where-ever. A joke on one is
*not* a joke on the other. After a thread expands for days, Good People
finally start to "do" the communication techniques, by collecting the real
data from the previous posts. aka: collect their thought and re-focus the
thread. And then there are those who must 'win' at all costs, and do *not*
accept any result/opinion other than theirs.  Ruadh, just being myself.
