Just a note to all that the 1/2" rule is not truly 'arbitrary'. It is the
same rule that currently applies to all weapons, thrusting tips, quillions,
etc. None can enter a helm more than 1/2".

Therefore any helms currently made, were made under such a ruling, knowing
that only 1/2" gap was needed to remain 'safe'.

It's not a 'new standard' being put into place, it's a current standard
being upheld.
