I am posting this, as a courtesy to the Autocrat.  Ya'll come, y'heer?

March 10th – Ice Axe
College of Yarnvid, Powhatan, VA
Cold winds blow, dark clouds glower, come shelter at Ice Axe from Icy
snow showers. We invite you all to attend our longest running event, Ice
Axe! Join us at your favorite peasant revel.
Fighting: Heavy fighting will be the focus of the day in the form of a
Holmgang. Authorizations will not be available. Don’t forget to bring
your blue membership card and white authorization card. Vouchers will
not
be accepted.
Arts & Sciences: There will be an A&S competition. The category is
"everyday use item". Nothing lavish, as this is a below-the-salt event.
Documentation is a plus, but not strictly required. However, you should
be prepared to answer questions about your entry. Everyone is encouraged
to bring A&S projects to display, work on, and share knowledge of,
during
the day.
Children’s Activities: There will be no organized or supervised
children’s activities, however, coloring sheets, crayons, beads for
stringing, and other assorted craft items will be available for
occupying
the hands of the wee ones. Parents are requested to attend their
children.
Merchants: There is very limited space for merchants inside the hall. If
weather permits, space is available outside the hall (bring your
dayshade
or rugs). If you plan to merchant at this event please contact Finnr
Grimulfsson (James Howell) via email at finnr at caermear.org or by phone
at
(804) 598-4658. All merchants must be packed up by 5 pm to prepare the
hall for feast.
Feast: The feast will be a hearty below-the-salt fare. Seating will be
limited to 80 gentles. Lord Robear De Bardoulf is the feast-o-crat, so
carnivores and vegetarians will be amply filled.
Fees: The on-board fee for the event will be $11 for adults, $7 for
children 5-12 years old, under 5 years old are the guests of Yarnvid.
The
off-board fee will be $5 for adults and $3 for 5-12 year olds. Please
make checks to the College of Yarnvid, SCA, Inc.
Reservations may be sent to the autocrat.

Site Location: Powhatan County Fairgrounds, Anderson Highway (Rt. 60,
west of Richmond, VA). Alcohol is permitted on the site, but no original
containers please. The doors will open at 9 am and close at 9 pm.
Assistance with clean-up will be gratefully accepted.
Directions:
>From points North and South and East: Take best route to I-95, then to
Chippenham Parkway and on to Route 60 West (Midlothian Tnpk).
Approximately 20 miles to site.
>From points West: Take best route to I-64 to Route 522 South to Route 60
East. Once on Route 60 East, site is about a mile on the left.
