Also remember that it's not just about letting gases OUT, but making sure
there's plenty of oxygen coming IN. A good, clean, well-burning propane or
natural gas burner will produce almost entirely carbon dioxide and water vapor
when it burns, if it gets enough oxygen for complete combustion. If it's not
getting enough oxygen, it won't burn completely and will produce carbon monoxide
instead. Good ventilation helps either way, as does keeping burners clean and
free-flowing. Snuggling up under lots of blankets is even better.
