[MR] Armour inspections

I believe this conv. parallels one that was had at Blue Mountain. I think
you're talking about the new Street Hockey glove rule. In the new
marshallate (SMS) rules, it specifically states that street hockey gloves by
themselves aren't considered minimum protection. The conv. at Blue Mountain
ended with the theorization that street hockey gloves by themselves behind a
shield without a rigid basket weren't legal, but after rereading the rules,
I'm not convinced that they don't mean that street hockey gloves by
themselves aren't legal any more, period, whether they're behind a rigid
basket or not.
Forwarding to our KEM for comment. Since I wasn't at Pennsic, though, I
have no useful input on what went on there.
The official wording:
Section VI, Subsection A, Rule 5, Sub-rule (e): "Street Hockey Gloves are
NOT equivalent. Street hockey gloves may be used in tandem with a
demi-gauntlet and basket hilt. Street hockey gloves may also be used behind
a shield in tandem with a shield basket."
I.E., if it's behind a sword basket, it has to have a half-gauntlet covering
the wrist.
