Found it, thanks. The last stuff I got was off Amazon but it doesn’t show diameter.

Barre it wasnt at kustomkingarchery, it looks like they are no longer selling crossbow serving. I did a Google search for "crossbow serving" and in the first few, you will see the ones I was talking about

Is this what you are seeing? I don’t see those sizes.

Baron I only used the .030 and .036 so far and it works well with both 5/16 and 11/32 bolts...

Janyn – I just noticed it comes in thicknesses. Any thoughts on which size for which bolt?

Lord Mungo I thought I had replied to this but maybe email out here in the desert is not so reliable?

The serving I use for my crossbows I get from www.kustomkingarchery.com, <http://www.kustomkingarchery.com,> if you search for crossbow serving you will see it. It is not cheap for a roll of it but it works very well. The wear you see is normal and on my bows I typically reserve the strings every 3 months or so depending on how much I shoot. You wont need a special harness if you can find 3 others to help you. We typically use one person to hold the crossbow prod up, and one person on each side of the prod to push down on it while someone else takes the string off. Works quite well. I am willing to help you in any way I can

In Service,

Noble Friends of the Bow:

The serving on my Siegfried crossbow string has parted right where the
string rides along the track. The string itself will be next, so I've
had to set the weapon aside. I have a really thick (maybe about 30
strands!) extra string that came with my earlier New World Arbelist bow.
It is about 3/4" shorter than the failed string, as compared to it in
the mounted position. I'm thinking this would probably stretch out some
once it is mounted. Would this be safe to use? I am well aware that
replacing the string will require a special harness. Who does this sort
of work? Can anyone offer any further advice?

Yours Aye,

Mungo
