BotB would definately be a place that you can get 300 yard easily. We could pull off 200, maybe 240 or so at the Bowmen but I doubt 300.

So all may know....

Karl's competitive side kicked in.  While he is sitting pretty in first place for the Crossbow Division recently some western Handbow (two and almost a third actually) went and bested his score, so now he is tied for THIRD (<dramatic tone> oh the horrors! ).  However they actually went and shot all five components of which Karl (and I ) have yet to shoot the Distance portion.

Current SSAC Rules:

Bump Bump - that was the bus I just threw Karl under ;)

PS - the only place I can think of coming up soon would be at Battle on the Bay at Croom shooting out across the huge field near the end of the day....

Hey all,
For those of you up here in the Maryland/Northern Virginia area, myself and Master Jonathas are looking for a location we can safely shoot the distance portion of the Society Seasonal Challenge.  It is a pure distance shoot maxing out your bow, and with ours we can easily see our reaching potentially upwards of 250 yds, maybe even as much as 300 or so, and we don't have anything even close to that in terms of safety.  I know I have spoken to several of you about having nice long practice areas, but can't remember if any of you had quite that distance.  Any help would be appreciated.  :)
