Okay great, Fen I agree whole heartedly with you and it was one reason I
stayed away from it for many years. I'm hoping our changes will hold again
this year and I know I and Ghijskijn will do all we can to protect our own
from the silliness that seems to ensue.

Will add you. Also remember practice won't be until after St. Sebastians
completes around 5pm. I realize you will have a lot on your plate that first
day.

By transparent, I'm referring to an incident I witnessed my first Pennsic -
4 archers in a shootoff, we (spectators already cut) are told that the
winner will earn the last available slot, 1 archer gets disgusted with his
performance and quits the line before completion, yet he is the one that is
chosen for the last slot. So, I guess that by "transparent" I mean that
everything will be "above board".

I *do* like your change to legacy slots. Thank you for that. And please
understand that I also respect and trust your judgement (or any Atlantian
MIC) but am aware that some things are out of your control (ie. decided by
the East).

But I'm satisfied with your changes and I have faith that you and Ghijskin
will run a fair & honest competition. So please add me, it would be an honor
to tryout for the team this year. We'll be arriving that Sat morn, so I'll
have to hustle to make the first practice.

Cheers

Fen

Fen, Im not sure what you mean about transparent? I think you know I speak
honestly in my responses so this should be no different. I think those who
shot it last year would actually say we as a team had fun, I know I did. Our
practice was run by myself and Ghijskijn and those that performed and made
the practices were added to the team. This year being teamed with the East,
things might be a bit different just because of their dynamic. Ghijskin will
run our practices again and between him and myself we will decide our team,
period. As far as legacy slots go, the same rule applies as I put in place
last year, the only legacy slot goes to our current Kingdom champion, other
than that everyone else needs to earn their slot.

So if you can live with this let me know and I will add you or simply pass
if you wish.

Sorry to do this, but I have to ask (and will not engage in debate or
trashing our allies) but:

1) will the tryouts be transparent?

2) are they getting rid of legacy slots?

If both answers are yes, then I'll participate. Else, I will humbly assist
where needed as a Marshal or somesuch.

Cheers
