I know many of us are allergic to the smoke, so I’m all for it not being
around others

Noble friends,

Somewhere I heard that the general policy is that smoking shouldn't be done
at all where it can be viewed by the garbed populace. In other words,
"behind the barn" is o.k. I was surprised to see someone light up right in
front of the presiding baroness at an event a couple of years back. This
seemed very rude (or at least thoughtless), especially since the smoker
could have walked 100 or so feet to be beyond the event area to have their
puffs. I was even more surprised that the baroness permitted this, probably
not wanting to start a row in public.

Yours aye,

Mungo

Good reminder.

As a smoker, my own added rule is that I should be far enough away from
activity that you don't even know I'm having a cig.

Atlantian Archery. Nothing exists within 100 yards without our permission.

I found this in the July Acorn. A good reminder to the smokers in our
midst, and those running a range.

"Smoking is forbidden in the central area of a Society event.

ª The central area of an event is defined as any area where people must be
present in order to participate in the event, such as the hall where a feast
is taking place, or the lists and the area surrounding them during a
tournament. (or the archery range - LE)

ª Smoking is permitted in the interior of a pavilion only with the express
permission of the owner of the pavilion."

Cheers!

Lorelei (the asthmatic)
