[Archers] Everyone okay?

Had a tree fall on our deck. Very lucky it missed structure of house. Just got power back this AM. 
 
Come Monday will be looking to rent(?) chain saw to cut up tree and throw it over side. Not sure how to approach this. Have never used a chain saw and have heard horror stories of them biting and swinging back into user. Any advice on how to proceed is appreciated!
