Archery range opens at 10:00 and will close at 4:00 on Saturday. Dress warm, bring a chair and wear shoes that will take a bit of wet ground.

Fun and challenging targets will delight both those new to the bow, and the old pros. A small amount of loaner gear will be available.

Mini prize-shoots will be held throughout the day, spontaneously! Some prizes will be given at the whim of the Archery MiC and her minions. These prizes may be awarded for such things as the best looking bow, most outlandish hat, worst score, the person who missed the target the most, the best shot on a particular target, best behaved archer, best suck-up archer, best "Bring Lorelei Hot Chocolate and Other Goodies" prize, youngest archer, oldest archer, etc.

This year we have something very special, our Queen has planned for a unique shoot, sponsored by Her, with the prize (of a lovely handmade wooden box) going to the "last one standing".

This Challenge will start at 2:00 and end when it does. This prize shoot will consist of targets at increasing distances. However, the catch is that arches must pull a Challenge from the hand of the Queen to make his/her shot more "interesting". Some of these random shooting options may include:

   - shoot on one foot for one of the arrows

   - shoot with the queen's bow for one shot
   - shoot one shot blindfolded (after being set at the line and generally aimed)
   - the queen shoots 3 arrows for 1 of your shots - you get the best
   - the queen shoots 3 arrows for 1 of your shots - you get the worst
   -and other devilishly fun scenarios

See you on the range!

Lady Lorelei Greenleafe
MIC of Archery, YMIR
