[Archers] Congratulations!

This is easy. Yes, the autocrat does not have to be knowledgeable about every activity going on at his/her event. That is why they recruit others to run activities. When you are asked to be an MiC or a marshal of an activity at an event, you must communicate your needs to the MiC and the autocrat. They don't have to know how to set up an archery range. We do. We must communicate what we need and ensure we get it.

No classes. No paperwork. We have too much already. If you are a marshal, then you are the expert. Communicate with your autocrat early and often.

I will point out again, then step out of this conversation, that you are
ssuming that there is a 'right' for archery to happen.
If an autocrat makes a decision that precludes archery, or that impacts
rchery negatively. That was not an 'error' on their part.
It was their decision as autocrat to make.
In this 'neck' of the woods, (Where both Jerry and I are from), all
utocrats always work hand-in-hand closely with their marshals, and
eople come to an agreement. If the autocrat doesn't feel a space
xists that will work with their otherwise event-concept for archery.
hen there's no archery.

PS. If you want to make an 'autocrat' manual/class within your own
aronies, go for it. Have at it. But I will not back the idea of
dding that load at a Kingdom Level.

 Ok,

I disagree we are not over thinking this.

As pointed out we have cases where the autocrat is making changes
without making sure it is not a problem but if we can't help the
autocrat keep from making errors and no the check list should not be
16 pages. Just big enough to help cover the basics and as part.of a
handbook that helps keep them from making real errors.

 Just my take on it.
