Greetings,

I won't be able to attend the February University, but I do support having an archery tract. I encourage any and all who can teach a class to do so. In my opinion, it is one of the ways we keep our discipline (passion) in the mind and eyes of the society, which aids in the continued building of respect for the archery community.

For topic ideas, some classes that have been offered in the past or could be offered:

How to make a Flemish string
How to run archery at events
Basic arrow making and repair
Beginning archery (both technique and equipment)
How to tune your bow
Archery for kids
History of Archery (in general or specific time period)
Bow types, what are they and which one is right for you
Basic target construction or Targets on a budget
Improving your archery technique - for the intermediate archer
How to make period arrows & arrow heads
How to construct a cross bow
Combat archery basics and equipment
Combat archery for the rapier fighter
How to make FANCY arrow - or advanced arrow making
Basic bow making
The Archer persona - what's in your kit

Those are just some of my thoughts, I'm sure other have more they can add. I think my home group, the Canton of Cros Brigte is placing a bid for Spring University. I've committed to organizing the archery track for the spring. SO, if you can not teach at this next university, please consider teaching at Spring University.

There is so much talent and expertise in the Atlantian archery community, please share.

Lorelei

Noble friends of the bow,

I would like to suggest that we have an archery track at the February University. I am not able to organize a track myself, since I am the autocrat, and already have my hands full! Could anyone else step forward and organize this?

If it looks like I can work it into the day, I will be available to teach a class in building medieval arrows. Lord Allen, any chance we could have a marshals' class? Anyone else have ideas?

Kind regards,

Mungo Napier, Shire of Isenfir Archery Marshal and UA 77 Autocrat
(mka Garth Groff)
