Service takes all forms in our Society.  The Board of Directors for
the Society for Creative Anachronism is asking for your assistance in
nominating qualified candidates for a very special kind of service -
that as a member of the SCA, Inc. Board of Directors.

Members of the SCA Board of Directors serve three-and-a-half year
terms. Candidates for the Board are either self-nominated or nominated
by SCA participants. Nominees remain on the list for two years.



Skill sets necessary for service on the Board of Directors varies
greatly according to the current needs of the Society.  The Board
looks for individuals with both modern and SCA knowledge of all types.
 Regional diversity is also of great concern. In their modern lives,
past directors have been both white and blue collar, worked in both
offices and warehouses. and worn both professional uniforms and
homemaker's aprons.  In the Society they have worn duchy coronets to
armiger circlets, and everything in-between.

Right now, the Society consists of  nineteen Kingdoms and more than
30,000 members.  But surprisingly there are a scant 30 members on the
nomination list, with only eleven kingdoms represented.

The Board encourages anyone who would be interested in performing this
very special service, or who would like more information regarding
