between the Baronies of Sacred Stone and Windmasters' Hill, along with their
respective allies, and has grown to be one of the largest events held in the
Kingdom of Atlantia. This year's principle opponents are the Baronies of Black
Diamond and Raven's Cove versus the Baronies of Sacred Stone and Hawkwood.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">There will be several A&S Competitions to help display the
knowledge, creativity and skill of members of the principle baronies and their
visitors!</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#CC0000">On Friday</span></b><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">, the War of the Wings Poetry Competition, sponsored by
the current Poeta Atlantiae, will be held.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">THIS COMPETITION COUNTS TOWARDS THE A&S WAR POINT!!!!</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">The poems submitted should be themed around a battle between any
of the symbols of the principle baronies (a diamond, raven, phoenix or hawk).
Documentation is not required, but is preferred.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">Poems must be entered by 11:00 am and picked up no later than
5:00 pm. Judging will take place from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#CC0000">Also on Friday</span></b><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">, the Flights of Fancy masked ball will
take center stage!</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">There will be a Mask Competition with prizes for the following
categories: Most Beautiful, Most Unusual, & Best Use of Pink! Masks must at
least be hand-decorated by the entrant. The ball will take place at 9:00 pm and
the masks will be judged at the dance!</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#CC0000">On Saturday</span></b><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">, the War of the Wings Novice Competition will be held.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">THE OVERALL CATEGORY OF THIS COMPETITION COUNTS TOWARDS THE
A&S WAR POINT!!!!</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">This is a competition for individuals who have been practicing
their craft for less than a year. This doesn't mean that the entrant needs to
be a newcomer as they could be an experienced anachronist exploring a new area!
No documentation is required for this competition, nor will documentation be
graded.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">There will be a second category of this competition just for the
children, ages 12 and under.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">Entries must be entered by 11:00 am and picked up no later than
5:00 pm. Judging will take place from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.</span><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond"></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#CC0000">Also on Saturday</span></b><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">, the War of the Wings Scroll Blank Competition
will be held.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">THIS COMPETITION COUNTS TOWARDS THE A&S WAR POINT!!!!</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">Both quantity and quality of the scroll blanks will count! All
scroll blanks entered are considered donated to the barony (for baronial
awards) or the kingdom. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">Scroll blanks must be entered by 11:00 am. The Coronets’
Favorites (one for each principle Barony) will be selected between Noon and
2:00 pm. Judging will take place from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">1) Scroll blank entries would be designated for each of the 4
principle baronies. Anyone may enter, but they must submit their entries under
one of the principles.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">2) The scroll blanks would be counted. The barony with the most
gets 20 extra points on the score; the runner-up gets 15; 3rd place gets 10;
last gets 5.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">3) Each of the 4 principle baronages selects their favorite out
of their submissions.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">4) These selected entries get judged for quality.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">5) The extra points are counted in and a winner is determined.</span></p>

categories.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">* Only participants who are attending War of the Wings may
enter.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">* Entered items may not have won 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in any
other A&S competition.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">* Each item must have been created within the last 5 years.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#000099">* Separate documentation is required for each item.</span></p>
