I used news print paper I got cheap at an art store when I created my flag patterns in the past. I just taped a few sheets of paper together.

It's certainly a good idea to have supplies with you if you want to<br>
start immediately. I think, however, that we're going to need to<br>
schedule a baronial silk painting day very soon to really do the work.<br>
Theodora mentions that the biggest hurdle to cross in making one's<br>
own banner is in making the cartoon the appropriate size and ready to<br>
paint. Folks should probably focus on that first, and then worry<br>
about doing the actual painting afterward.<br>
