James,<br><br>I've been thinking about what I can contribute to this office. <br><br>One thing I've noticed about newcomer's meetings is "information overload" - the glazing over of eyes as everyone tries to tell new people about 

<span style="font-style: italic;">everything that's available in the SCA.  I would like to discuss with you about the possibility of specializing each month's meeting to a specific area; one month is garb, the next is creating a persona, obtaining heraldry, etc. We'd still be able to address the people who are brand-spanking new at each meeting, but I think this kind of approach will bring people who've already been to one meeting back to subsequent meetings as they try to figure out where they fit in.
