of Atlantia. I am pleased to <br>
announce that the Barony of Dun Carraig will host a Northern Regional <br>
Melee Practice on Sunday June 26th starting at 11am (the day after <br>
Challenge of the Heart - so why not show up a day early and enjoy the
event?).

The simple plan for the day will be:
<br>
11am - Noon: warm up with singles
<br>
11am - Noon: Combat Archery authorizations<br>
Noon - 3pm: Melees
<br>
3pm - 4pm: Singles
<br>
5pm: All must be off site.
<br>
<br>
This Northern Regional Practice will have COMBAT ARCHERY! So come <br>
prepared with plenty of ammunition.
<br>
<br>
The melees will be based on the various scenarios for Pennsic and will <br>
include open field as well as resurrection battles.
<br>

Directions:

Site Address - 9035 Ironsides Rd, Nanjemoy, MD 20662. Use Mapquest - <br>
NOTE: One note from looking at the maps provided. AVOID using Durham <br>
Church Rd - it is very narrow and very twisty, instead follow Rt 6 to
Rt <br>
425 Ironsides Rd. It is much quicker and only about two tenths of a
mile <br>
longer.
<br>
<br>
>From the North - Take your best route to the southern side of the <br>
Washington Beltway (I-495), then exit onto Rt 5 south toward Waldorf. <br>
Just north of Waldorf Rt 301 will merge with Rt 5, follow Rt 301 South <br>
through Waldorf to LaPlata. In LaPlata turn West (from the north it
will <br>
be Right) onto Rt 6. Drive 12 miles on Rt 6, turn left onto Rt 425, <br>
Ironsides Rd, and follow for X miles. Melwood Retreat Center will be on
<br>
the Right.
<br>

>From the South - Take your best route to I-95 just north of Richmond, <br>
VA. Take Rt 207 East to Rt 301. Follow Rt 301 East across the Potomac <br>
River and North to LaPlata. In LaPlata turn West (from the south it
will <br>
be Left) onto Rt 6. Drive 12 miles on Rt 6, turn left onto Rt 425, <br>
Ironsides Rd, and follow for X miles. Melwood Retreat Center will be on
<br>
the Right.
