If it rains, we will still dye, since I have a deck above us and we can throw a plastic tarp on it if it begins leaking on us.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman" color=#004000>Don't forget, cellulose fibers only, not wool. Silk is fine too (ah, magical silk). Best are cotton, linen and rayon (hemp would be interesting, I hear it dies wonderfully, but haven't done it myself).</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman" color=#004000>If you can, I would ask dyers to bring the following along.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman" color=#004000>- <STRONG>your own bucket/container</STRONG> for your dye. Reasonably estimate that you would want a one-gallon container per yard of fabric(e.g., three yards, three gallon container). If your fabric is heavy, go a bit bigger. If you can't find one, I'm sure I have something. Also, if two people want to dye the same color, I have a few larger buckets (5-7 gallons).</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman" color=#004000>- <STRONG>salt.</STRONG> A safe estimate is about 1/2 cups of salt per yard of fabric. This is actually a bit high of an estimate, but it is better to overestimate than underestimate with salt.</FONT></DIV>
