A week from tomorrow is the Stierbach Baronial Birthday! There will be two different A&S competitions and a static display. Competition 1 - An anonymous, no doc required (but if you do, please make sure your name is not on it...) Dirty Dozen! Make twelve of anything that can be used for largesse (needle books, veil pins, bracelets, books, pouches, boxes, etc...). The populace will select the winner anonymously and the winner will get one of everything in the Dirty Dozen competition with the rest going to the Baron and Baroness to use for Largess the rest of the year. Competition 2 - A Cavalcade of Hats! Documentation is recommended as it is one of the criteria in the judging. There will be three winners - Populace, Majesty or Excellency, Best Overall. Prizes have been purchased and are ready for the hats! There will also be a table for static display for those not wanting to enter the competitions. In addition, this year we will have three, that's right THREE, classes that count for University credit. 1. Lady Amie will teach the construction of a tudor hat (pre-registration and coordination to get your kit will be extremely helpful.. spaces are limited). 2. Lady Helene will teach period dance, come join in the fun! 3. Lady Marsali will teach how to make a beaded cup cover using a technique that was also used to add beading to veils. (Limited spaces for this one as well, so please contact Lady Marsali to reserve yours.)
