Pray heed Atlantia, to the call of your Heirs!  There will be a competition
held at the Coronation of Michael and Seonaid to select the scribe to serve
as Scrivener Royal for Their reign.  This competition requires creative
minds and whimsical hearts.  Grotesques and drolleries have inhabited the
margins of illuminated manuscripts for centuries.  These fantastic and
unusual creatures have strolled across the page to amuse and engage the
readers, while others hide themselves among the illumination to frighten
the unassuming viewer.  Entrants should complete two backlog scrolls, with
illumination featuring their most creative, comical, or mischievous
grotesques.  Interested scribes are encouraged to contact the Kingdom
Backlog Deputy, Lady Aemilia Rosa, aemiliarosa AT Comcast DOT net to get
assignments for the two scrolls to be submitted.

Scrivener Royal Position: The Scrivener Royal is a Kingdom Notable position
selected for excellence in the scribal arts and serves as the personal
scribe to the Crowns of Atlantia during Their reign. The Scrivener Royal is
offered the opportunity to be the lead scribe at any Royal progress events,
and may be given the opportunity to discuss with the Clerk of Signet what
scrolls he or she would like to complete for upcoming awards. Each Scrivener
Royal hosts the following Scrivener Royal Competition and creates an
original scroll for their successor. Finally, the Scrivener Royal is
expected to encourage other scribes in the development of their art. If you
