Subject: [Atlantia-Announce] Please Feed the (Ro)Bears - at Ymir!
To: Atlantian Announce <announce at seahorse.atlantia.sca.org>

One of the A&S competitions at Ymir this year is a competition of preserved
meat products suitable for travel. The recipe can be from our period or
modern but must be included along with full documentation of the
preservation process. The product must be one of the following:

Salted/Cured
Pickled/Brined
Dried (jerky/hung sausage)
Smoked
A combination of the above

All entrees will be sampled by Master Robear and THL Jared the Potter at
the conclusion of fighting and will be judged based on:

Documentation of procedure
Comparison of expected outcome and product
Overall judges' impression and discretion

Pull out your Cariadoc or your favorite recipe from that battered Norwegian
travel book and get to work! Yum-yum-yum!

Entries with documentation need to be dropped by the MoL tent with me
before the conclusion of fighting on Saturday to be included in the
judging. Please make note if you have purposefully included additional
portions to share with others at the judges' discretion.

Thank you - and the (Ro)Bears can't wait to taste all the yummy protein
goodness!
