Greetings unto the lists!

As most of you know, there are many activities that are happening at 12th
Night. Such a celebration would not be complete without including A&S in
those activities. There are several competitions and other A&S activities
to appeal to all.

First, The Lovers' Closet! The closets of the Atlantian Court turn out
their finest garb for Twelfth Night, to be sure. Secret judges of Henry
VIII's Court will be desperate to steal the secrets of Atlantian couture.
To that end, prizes will be awarded to the very finest garb appropriate to
Henry VIII's Court. There will be multiple prizes for the Best Garb, Best
Jewelry, and Best Couple’s (or matching) Garb. There will be no static
displays. In order to be eligible, your entry must be worn!
For these competitions, you can enter two different ways. First, just show
up wearing your entry and you will be judged by the "secret judges" on how
you present yourself, your garb, and your jewelry. By showing up, you are
entered into this competition! Second, if you want to show your expertise
in period garb or jewelry, you can document your entry. Documentation will
be displayed and expert judges will seek you out to view your entry. You
still have to wear your entry and you won't necessarily be able to tell who
your judges are! Either way, expect the unexpected!

Second, Tempore Atlantia! Hoping to impress Twelfth Night's hosting Tudor
Court with examples of Atlantian artistry, artifacts from antiquity (1000
to 1250 AD) will be presented via the Tempore Atlantia. Visiting Atlantian
artisans are invited to display appropriate items in the Solarium at the
end of the Long Gallery. You may bring as many items as you wish, so long
as those items are from the time period being highlighted in this particlar
Tempore Atlantia. For more information, please visit the Tempore Atlantia
website or contact THL Therasa du Domrémy.

Third, the Royal Bard Competition! In addition to all of the extraordinary
performers native to the Tudor Court, Their Atlantian Majesties will be
enjoying the incomparable talents of Their own bardic community in the
Fountain Court. Amongst those delightful performances, some Atlantians will
be vying to become Their Majesties' new Royal Bard! For more information,
please visit the Royal Bards Website. For more information about the
competition itself, please contact either Master James of Middle Aston or
Master Dunstan LeHeryngmongere.

Fourth, the performances! In addition to the wonderful period music that
the Charlotte Waites will be providing for this evening's Queen of Hearts
Ball, Twelfth Night's guests will be treated to an extra special afternoon
concert of period music performed by the Greensboro Early Music group.
Being held in The King's Gallery, rather than the Fountain Court, Heny's
guests at Hampton Court Palace will delight in this beautiful performance.
There will be a break in the middle of the concert. The commedia dell'arte
troupe i Firenzi will be performing just prior to Royal Court the Saturday
of Atlantian Twelfth Night. The troupe strives to recreate plays in the
style of commedia dell'arte from Florence, Italy around the mid-16th
century. If you managed to see the i Firenzi performance at War of the
Wings VII, you know just how much fun their unique blend of wit and hijinx
can be!

Fifth, the King's Tribute! Twelfth Night is also the time of year that many
subjects choose to present gifts to Their Majesties. Of course, these gifts
were often more about the presentation than the actual gift itself! The
trappings should be beautiful, we will provide the gift, and the
presentation should be impeccable. To that end, there will be a prize
awarded to the Best Gift Presentation to Their Majesties.

And MUCH MUCH more! There will be documented games, an art gallery, an arts
martial demonstration, a documented feast, period riddles, and of course
the dancing!

Please visit the 12th Night website for complete details!

Hope to see you there!
