[Ponte Alto] ISO information on lace history.

Hi All,
 
I'm writing a paper on the history of lace dating back to the Eqyptians, and wondered if anyone could provide books, archeology digs, or other references that would be pertinent to tracking the history of needle and bobbin lace throughout history.
