I am proud to announce the schedule for this year's Highland River
Melees.  There is one general schedule and below is the A&S class
schedule.   I would like to thank the entire populace of the Barony of
Highland Foorde, and many others for putting together what promises to
be a fantastic event.  You don't wanna miss this.  We still have feast
spaces available, but they will go fast so register today.  Please
forward this email to your local groups for the benefit of those not
on the Merry Rose.

Highland River Melees 2011 Schedule
FRIDAY THE 3RD
4pm – Site and Toll Opens
5pm – Heavy Authorizations and Inspections
6pm – Heavy Bear Pit Tournament
SATURDAY THE 4th
8am – Fundraiser Breakfast Served
Troll Opens
9am – A&S Displays and Competitions Open
9:30am – Heavy & Rapier Authorizations and Inspections Open
10am – Ladies Foot Race
Battle of the Bards on the Heavy List Field
Archery Range Opens
10:30am – Rapier and Heavy Melees Begin
11am – Bardic Circle Begins
Rapier and Heavy Melees Begin
12pm – Lunch
12:45pm – Armored Footrace (Before Fighting Resumes)
1pm – Brewing Competition Judging
Children’s Activities Begin
3pm – Children’s activities close, children not picked up will be sold.
Youth Footraces 12-17 years, 7-11 years, and <6
4pm – A&S Displays Close
Troll Closes
Archery Range Closes
4:45pm – All Comers Footrace
5pm – Court Opens
Open Bar Begins
6pm – Feast, Open Bar Party with dancing lead by Stephan of Cambion to
commence after.
8pm – Fireside Bardic Circle Begins

Fiber Arts Tent – Flax spinning demo by Lady Brienna all day long.
Classroom 1 - Pattern Making.  Instructor: Lady Isabella D’Angelo  Fee: $1.00
Classroom 2 - History of Knitting/Beginning Knitting Instructor:
Maestra Guiliana Salviati (2hrs, 5 student max, please bring US size 6
or 7 needles worsted weight yarn (CYCA #4) or acrylic if necessary)
