As we hope you all know, Sapphire Joust is a magnificent opportunity  
not only to demonstrate to all Atlantia one's individual merits and to  
gain glory and renown in the various tournaments... but there is also  
an opportunity for us all to prove our worth and to gain greater glory  
for each other and as a team in the melee tournament!

We thus urge all those who might wish to support their comrades-in- 
arms; fight for the greater glory of the Barony, the region, and the  
Northern Army; and train and work for a spot on the Unbelted Champions  
team to make it down to Sapphire Joust and participate in our melee  
teams!

We are looking to put together two or three 5-7 person teams -- (we  
may well be teaming with some extremely strong allies to put-together  
a joint third team), with the primary team as the "official" Baronial  
squad and the second and third teams primarily devoted to developing  
our teaming and training for the Unbelted Champions team.

Please let me know ASAP if you hope to attend the event (even if only  
as a day-trip) and wish to be included in our planning for the teams  
so that we might be able to determines numbers and begin to plan the  
teams.

We hope *everyone* will make an effort to make it to Sapphire Joust,  
as it is one of the premiere Atlantian events and a real "showcase"  
tournament.

Unfortunately, as I have explained at practice, I must journey to far  
Caid to attend my Father's 70th Birthday during the weekend of  
Sapphire Joust... but command of the unit will be in the  
extraordinarily capable hands of Sir Thomas of Calais and our other  
worthy Commanders and Sergeants who I have no doubt will be able to  
lead our unit(s) to victory this year as we all did last year.

I look forward to hearing from all who will be attending as soon as  
possible.
