For those who will attending Pennsic and want to camp with Ponte Alto,
you need to register with Pennsic and with the Barony.

Some people have registered with Pennsic, (yeah) but have not registered
with the Barony. A couple of people forwarded their Pennsic confirmations
to the list, but you still need to register with the Barony.

The Barony registration allows us to determine tent sizes for land planning
purposes.

First, the Pennsic registration has a June 15 deadline. You must pre-reg
with Pennsic to camp with Ponte-Alto. You can register at the following link,
which will also give you moreinformation about Pennsic XXXVIII:

    http://www.pennsicwar.org/

The Barony registration can be found from the barony web site at
pontealto.atlantia.sca.org. The top left link on the main page goes to
an events page which has the following link for Pennsic:

    http://pontealto.atlantia.sca.org/pennsic/

You need to determine if you have enough land for your tent.
Each camp gets 250 sq. ft. per pre-registered camper.
The Barony sets aside a 75 sq ft tax for each person camping for the common
area. Allowing for tent ropes and a requirement that the tents are
3 feet apart, sometimes even a small tent does not have enough
land, so you need to check. The registration will do a calculation for you,
which will give you feedback where you stand.

If your tent does not fit on the land, you can (1) get a smaller tent,
(2) pay for an additional pre-reg (called a ghost). (The ghost will not
be taxed.) or (3) find someone who has extra land (there is a page with
the registered campers with there land calculation) and ask to share there
land.

Thanks, and I am looking forward to seeing many of you at Pennsic.
