One point of clarification...

One does not have to be a member of the guild "Academie d' Espee" to be awarded a White Scarf.  The White Scarf is a Grant-level Kingdom award that has nothing to do with the guild, other than having "Academie d'Espee" in its title.  Recipients of the White Scarf who are members of the guild may style themselves as "Provost of the Academie" if they wish, but it is not a requirement.
