Mantle-sewing Parties at Kat's house!
As we hope most of you are already aware, to comply with the wishes of
their Majesties and to better help develop unit identity, cohesion,
and awareness on the field, the Northern Army has developed a
standardized helm mantle that we are asking all to wear.
To help in this regard, we will be trying to get a very large number
of mantle bases made in a fun Project Night atmosphere where we can
crank them out and make them ready to apply the charge (which will
most likely be done using a stamp with fabric paint or an iron-on
transfer at this point given available resources and time).
We are thus calling on all who might be willing and able to join us on
Friday to help put together the helm mantles for the soldiers of the
Northern Army. We have a great many to put together for the fighters
of Ponte Alto, Stierbach, Storvik, and whatever other fighters choose
to join us on the field. We can use all the help we can get, so
*please* do not hesitate to bring yourself, your sewing machine,
friends, acquaintances, or whatever!
Because we are unlikely to finish the number we need to get done this
Friday, we are also planning on having a follow-up Project Night next
Friday. So come on out and have some fun!!!
When: 6:30 p.m. till whenever, this Friday and next Friday.
Where: 3206 Tayloe Court
Herndon, VA 20171
Please RSVP to: dreadpiratekat at gmail.com
Kat's phone # is 703-655-4373 if you get lost on your way over.
If you park in a marked Visitor spot, you will need to put a tag in
your window or risk being towed. It's better to park on the street.
Some drinks will be available (though of course it never hurts to
bring your own), and people can throw in for pizza or Chinese delivery.
If you've got a sewing machine, bring it with you! They have a few,
but they're not all suited to the task.
Allergy alert: they have an indoor cat.
