The Fighting School of the Ponte Alto practice has put together a Wiki  
Sight which has a page on Armor and Armor Recommendations -- the  
bottom of which has a set of recommendations on swords.

Note that it is not comprehensive or exhaustive (in terms of covering  
*every* possible armorer), but it is a pretty darn good exposition of  
the best bets out there).
