[Ponte Alto] Pennsic Rocked!!!

I would like to thank everyone who put the time and effort into the 
Baronial Army to make it as successful as it was both on and off the 
field.

My wild Pennsic ride began when Lady Wulfwyn (spelling worry) dumped me 
out of her car as she did a drive by of the Novice Tourney so that I 
could see Lucas, Ru, Rian and Simja (aka Slimjim) right in each of 
their lists.  Ru and Lucas fought their way out to see Lucas taking the 
Novice belt for Atlantia.  It ended when the field battle was over.

There are to many highpoints to list,  the two that stick out is Ponte 
Alto in the woods and on the two bridges we took when the Prince of 
Atlantia asked for her aid to help hold the Bridges for the East 
Kingdom. Imagine my surprise when Ponte Alto decided they did not want 
to just hold the bridges for the East but wanted to take them for 
Atlantia.  It was simply amazing.

Seeing Ponte Alto earn the Kingdom War Unit award the Award of the 
Vexillum Atlantiae it is rather new, so here is what it is for----The 
Vexillum Atlantiae (award of the banner) honors and recognizes the 
ferocity and valor of a group of fighters as a whole, not as 
individuals. When they fight as a unit, the group will have the honor 
of carrying the banner with the heraldry of the award into battle.

This Pennsic provided me my proudest moments in over 19 years of 
fighting in the SCA.

ps.  I also had a rocking time fighting with Altantia on the Rapier 
field and though I missed the woods battle (there was so much fighting 
during the week I had no chance to shop for my wife and that was the 
only time i had left to do anything before pack up started).  The Ponte 
Alto Rapier fighters along with the rest of the Atlantian Rapier Army 
earned Dragon's Teeth for their outstanding performance against 
overwhelming odds in the woods.
