[Ponte Alto] Ponte Alto Day at the Races III: Saturday Nov 11

Cyprus: a crossroads for many travelers and a setting for intrigue and
treachery, pageantry and royal weddings. As our Baron and Baroness of Ponte
Alto pause here on their journeys, we will enjoy the noble pastime of
hunting and racing our falcons. Come race with us, indulge in a few wagers
(chocolate) on the best bird, enjoy some games, and relax over a fine
evening feast. Bring your favorite bird (specifically, those that vaguely
resemble balsa-wood gliders) and join in the contest of speed and accuracy.
There will be a limited number of "rental" birds available to adopt, and
there will be separate races for children aged of 10 and under. 

Race Day is now just a few days away.  Are your noble birds ready for their
big day?  We hear rumors of great efforts to have healthy, fast, and
accurate birds ready to take home the prizes.  Now is the time to prepare!
Besides the races, Ponte Alto will also be having a chess tournament and a
silent auction to benefit the Barony general expense.  Artisans! Bring your
active displays and projects! It will be a great opportunity for people to
learn and have a hands-on experience. Performers of all kinds are welcome
and encouraged to entertain the populace throughout the day. 

A light lunch is INCLUDED in your site fee.  The menu for the evening feast
is posted on our web site.
