Greetings to all of my Friends,

I wanted to get the word out that I was married last weekend at a cermony at Fort Belvior, VA to my Fiance' Elena.

It was everything we could have hoped for.

I think the words of my squire, John can more than relate a story of the day, Amiee is John's wife and Audette is a part of a Household Sir Gideon and I share from from Ansteorra, she is now living in Atlantia.

It was a perfect day.

Sir Guy

Subject: [StrangeMacLeod] Congratulations to Guy and Elena

Howdy everyone!

Amiee and I just flew back in from DC where Guy and Elena got married this past weekend in a beautiful, storybook ceremony. It was a blustery, cold day, but not a cloud in the sky, and the sun was bright and cheerful. The ceremony was in the Ft. Belvoir military Chapel. Elena was absolutely stunning! A true princess! Guy… well…looked like a shaved gorilla in a Tux… but he was a very handsome Gorilla!

The reception was held in an extravagantly decorated ball room at the hotel, and everyone was made to feel warm and welcome. The buffet and side table was seemingly bottomless and tasty (as was the well stocked free bar). Elena had made some cute teddy bear favors for everyone… 2 bears holding each other, wrapped in a pretty bow. Guy and Elena’s first dance was a thing of grace and beauty. It appeared absolutely perfect. They danced so well together that everyone stayed off the dance floor for at least 2 more songs, just to watch them dance. Guy’s family had nearly everyone on the dance floor soon thereafter, while Duke Stephan, Sir Thomas and Duke Cuan (and company) waxed poetic about the good ole’ days and who is tent pegging who now and in what kingdom.

As soon as the reception ended, Guy and his beautiful wife headed over to a nearby ice rink (in tux and dress) and they took some great pictures having of them having fun… Elena skating proudly, in all her glory, while her proud husband followed closely behind, holding her train off the ice. All of the little girls (and some big girls) at the rink were SOOO jealous. The ladies were hovering around the newlyweds, hoping, if just for a moment, to share in their obvious bliss.

Meanwhile, Amiee, his family and I retreated to the nearby hotel bar where we proceeded to empty numerous bottles of whatever unsuspecting liquid wandered too close. Somehow during the night, I got a Nigerian to promise to send me some hand made leather ‘turn shoe’ like things he was wearing, straight from Nigeria… Not sure how that worked out, but we’ll see what happens. The family eventually retired for the evening or headed back to New Jersey. The ever ebullient Audette, Lovely Amiee and my surly self were left into the wee hours of the morn. More accurately, the ladies were having a good time chatting and drinking while I did my best to wrestle with and keep the large oak bar from spinning out of control, as was its seemingly constant desire. After all, I wouldn’t want anyone to be injured by such a large and unruly chunk of oak.

The next morning, Guy, Elena, Audette and I all met for a hearty breakfast, where we joyfully retraced the weekend’s events and I wondered quietly where the dude playing the large drum set was hiding so I could choke him and make him stop.

All in all, it was a glorious weekend. Guy and Elena departed on their honeymoon, Audette started her trek south, and Amiee and I threw ourselves at the mercy of the airports.

We should have some pictures back to Elena for her website within 2 – 3 weeks. I’m sure they will post something as soon as they can for everyone to enjoy.
